Gila to Buckhorn

My sister just gave me a hard time about only posting every six months. Unfortunately she's right. And she turned 38 today. So happy birthday Cheri, statistically speaking you're about half way there (if you know what I mean).

Things are going good for us. My folks were in town for a couple days two weeks ago. It was during my spring break so we decided to go check out the Gila Cliff Dwellings near Silver City, NM. It was really awesome. The Mogollon Indians made their homes in a series of 7 caves nested inside a large cliff in what is now the Gila National Forest. We need to post pictures. It was really amazing.

After exploring the dwellings we were pretty famished. Naturally we stopped on our way home in San Antonio, NM to have a burger at our favorite tavern, the Buckhorn. The Buckhorn green-chile cheeseburger is one of the top 10 burgers nationwide in several poles -- and it doesn't disappoint. My parents both said it was the best burger they have ever eaten. I'm tellin' ya, once you try green chile there's no going back.

That burger does not sound so delicious, but I will take your word for it:0
